About a Maryland DUI
If your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) is between .04% and .07%, you can be charged with a DUI in Maryland. Although a DUI charge is a lesser infraction than a DWI, it is still a serious offense. If you are convicted of a DWI/DUI in Maryland, the penalties can include having 8 points added to your driving record, fines and jail time.

Maryland is a member of the Interstate Drivers License Compact which means, if you are convicted of a DUI or DWI in Maryland, they will share that information with all of the other states in the Compact. There are 45 state in the U.S that participate in the Interstate Drivers License Compact.
